Dra. Neusa Maria Paes Leme

Physicist, MSc in Radio Astronomy and Solar Physics in 1986, PhD in Space Sciences in 1994, from INPE. From 1980-96 worked in the Astrophysics, Radio Astronomy and Solar Physics department of INPE; studied the effect of solar ionizing sources such as X-rays, and electrons and protons of high energy), and non solar sources (meteorites) on the lower ionosphere (atmospheric region between 60 and 90 km). Joined the Ozone Laboratory group starting May 1996, working on organizing the data bank for ozone and UV-B radiation for the different observation stations in Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, and Antarctica. Is a participant of the Brazilian Antarctic Program since 1984, with several participations in field works in Antarctica, at the Brazilian station Comandante Ferraz, for the study of the lower ionosphere, and since 1996 for the study and monitoring of UV-B radiation
